CZECH & MORAVIAN WINES - YOUR "OPERA SELECTION"

No doubt you have heard about the great wine-growing tradition and outstanding (and affordable!) wines produced in the fertile vineyards of south Moravia (the south-eastern part of the Czech Republic). But did you know that this tradition originates from the Middle Ages?

Templar cellars at the Cejkovice Castle date from the 12th Century and the famous Archbishop´s Cellars in Kromeriz were founded in 1226. The development of wine production in Bohemia was largely due to Charles IV, Czech King and Roman Emperor, the very same who built the Charles Bridge and founded the Charles University in 1348, the oldest university in central Europe. Charles IV understood well his priorities: three years before founding the University, he granted the right to produce ceremonial wine to the cellars of Kromeriz (since the 18th Century, the Archbishop´s Wine Cellars).

To enhance your pre-opera festivities we would heartily recommend you to try our "Opera Selection Case" which we have personally selected from our finest wine cellars; as understood from the previous text, the most precious wine cellars of the Czech Republic are located in Moravia.

The "Opera Selection", which comes in a serviceable wine case, will be delivered direct to your Prague hotel, together with your opera tickets.
